Deltha Pharma Honored by UNHCR with the “Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration 2024 – 7th Edition” Award

Deltha Pharma is pleased to announce that on June 19, 2025, at the auditorium of LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, it received the “Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration 2024 – 7th Edition” award, presented by the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) as part of the celebrations for World Refugee Day 2025, in the presence of representatives from government institutions, the private sector, and civil society. The Welcome project, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies, Confindustria, and the Global Compact Network Italy, recognizes companies that promote concrete policies and pathways to employment for refugees, fostering an open, equitable, and diverse workplace. For Deltha Pharma, this recognition is the result of the daily commitment of every employee, who—inspired by the values of our Code of Ethics—respect, responsibility, and the cultivation of talent—has helped build an inclusive work environment where origin and personal history are not obstacles but, rather, resources and sources of mutual enrichment.
The award is part of the social, environmental, and governance sustainability journey that Deltha Pharma has been pursuing for years and spurs us to further intensify our initiatives in support of inclusion, well-being, and happiness at work.
On stage at the Aula Magna Mario Arcelli, our CEO Maria Francesca Aceti stated:
“About a year and a half ago, I was looking for someone for my Export department, and I found myself considering a refugee thanks to the Adecco Foundation. I had some reservations, but you have to have the courage to set aside your fears and look at the person, their value, and their professional experience.
… Today, we’ve overcome unimaginable barriers and have a top-tier asset within our company who also supports us in the Arab market in her native language…”
